Today was the first day of racing at the 2012 USCSA
Nationals in Sunday River, Maine. Today was the first race for the women in GS.
No one expected such a great showing from the Ole women. Not only did all five
women finish in the top 60, they had their best GS race ever at Nationals. THEY
TOOK 3RD PLACE!!!! Congratulations ladies. Captain Katie Ulvestad
led the Oles with a 15-place finish, making her Second Team all American. Next
we had freshman MeKenna McNabb taking 16-place. She charged the course today
with power and confidence, something you do not see in many freshmen. Our third
place finisher was Maddey McLachlan. Maddey struggled with her first run just
missing the top 30 by 1 person. She came back extremely strong on her second
run coming in 24th place overall. Miranda Ness had great first Nationals
with a 36th place finish. Alex Anderson played anchor for the team
leading up the back. She took 58th place with two solid runs from
Alex.
GREAT RACE TODAY LADIES!!!!
