Greetings From Colorado

Welcome back! Today was our third day on snow at Copper Mountain. We have been training GS on Copperopolis. It has been a great week filled with fun and great skiing. We have seen many improvements in everyone skiing. Our trip started out on Saturday with a USCSA race in Steamboat. We left our house in Breck at 5:45am. We arrived at the hill at 8 to find out that we missed inspection. However, despite these events we would like to congratulate Haakon Schonaeyder for winning the race. Honorable mention goes to Pal Proitz for his second place finish.

On Sunday we had our first day of training GS at Copper. Here is a picture of the team standing at the top of the mountain. We had a perfect blue bird day with a high of 36. The snow conditions have been great.

Today was Monday. We again trained GS and had a perfect day on the hill.

Please continue following the blog, as we will be continually updating from Colorado and Spirit Mountain. Thanks for your support!!

2012!!!

Dear Friends of St. Olaf Skiing,

We are extremely sorry with the delay in the blog this season. We have been particularly busy here on the hill. We hope this interruption doesn’t stop you from being devoted fans of the St. Olaf Ski Team and our Blog.  So far it has been an interesting year, so let us catch you up.

Foremost, we had our first USCSA race this past weekend. The race went off without a hitch at Afton Alps. We would like to applaud our winners: Katie, Max, and Pal. Nevertheless, the St. Olaf Team achieved great success from all their athletes. The men’s team took top three both days, while the women took 5 of the top 6 spots.
